There is little irony that those who consistently engage in acts of self hatred like these, even to the extent that they despise their own nature and lineage, hold in contempt the interests and lineage of all others. Self loathing destruction of an edifice, even if it was one which actually enshrines former acts of oppression which this one does not, fails in every way to destroy past or present enshrinement of a history of oppression. The celebration of victory here is entirely premature. The acts of social and legal "tyrants" do not at all expunge from history or from a history of oppression, the specter of inhuman domination even when the domination is actually real and not contrived. These are nothing more than acts of virtue signaling which enforce that same tyrannical oppression upon others they propose falsely to defend against. As such so called activists feign to be defenders against injustices they mindlessly exact upon all others themselves while imposing mindless vengeance upon fellow citizens fully aware they share none of their weak minded manufactured guilt and feel no need to signal phony virtue to prove it.
It is interesting that in Germany the Germans do not hide from their ugly past when it comes to Nazis. They still have several of the concentration camps and a lot of the places that the Nazis built. Which the German government use for educational purposes. So a next generation will not for get there ugly past and can learn from it.
Here in the U.S. we have people who want to hod from the ugly past and does not want any one learning anything from it. Sure they tell made up tales a out our past but they want no one to learn from this ugly truth. So as not to repeat it again.
